VLOG #12 – Wild nature on Sumatra, Indonesia

Five days of wild nature, rare animals and many adventures – SUMATRA, INDONESIA. The island to experience real Indonesia, its culture and people and not the touristic mass like on Bali.

After Singapore I flew to Medan and booked a tour in Bukit Lawang to see the rare orangutans in the Gunung Leuser National Park, afterwards I explored the biggest volcano lake of the world “Lake Toba”. More about the places and budget on the Indonesia page here.

One girl. One backpacker. Once around the world.

  1. Great pics. It was a documentary on BBC1 that prompted me to post my photos of Sumatra from about 12 years ago. It was just after the tsunami, so there was a lot of devastation, but it was still a magical trip.
